The Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS, also called NDS, is a console from Nintendo, which has got two LC-Displays, a micro and some technical innovations, which have a better control than older consoles. The Nintendo DS is a big part of the innovation of the touchscreen.

The Nintendo DS lite

Year:2006

The DS lite is ca. 30% smaller than the original DS. The battery-life is higher than before, and you cannot use the mains adapter of the GBA SP.
The new features of the DS lite are:

  • Lighter and stronger displays (4-step)
  • Stronger colors
  • The Touchpen is easier to manage (you can put it in at the right of the Ds)
  • The micro is now in the middle of the ds
  • Start- and select-button are below the A-,B-,X- and Y-buttons
  • Better speakers
  • The on- and off-button is now at the side of the ds

    • The Nintendo DSi

    Year:2009

    Now you can buy Games and other things in the program "DSiWare". Nintendo opened the Dsi shop for games and programs, which you can download about the internet. New features of the Dsi are:

  • A shaft for SD-cards
  • The GBA-shaft is removed
  • New feature:Two VGA-Cameras in front and in the back
  • The casing is similar to the casing of the nds
  • The on/off-button is now next to the touchscreen on the left

    • Der Nintendo DSi XL

    Year:2010

    The XL-Version is a bigger issuing of the normal DSi. It got all normal applications, furthermore there are new applications like "Brainjogging" installed.

    Der Nintendo 3DS

    Year:2011

    The Nintendo 3DS is the Newcomer of the Nintendo-DS-Series. It is the first Console, which got the 3d-function, without a special glasses.In Germany, no console was sold as fast as the 3DS. Like the Nintendo DS, the console has got two screens. For better controlling, it has got an Analog-Stick. It also got some Cameras inside and outside.

    Der Nintendo 3DS XL

    Year:2012

    The 3ds XL is a Variation of the Nintendo 3DS with a new Design. Moreover The battery-life is longer.

    Der Nintendo 2DS

    Year:2013

    The Nintendo 2DS should play any DS- and §DS-games, but it doesn't have the 3D-effect and you can't fold it up.

    Der *new* Nintendo 3DS

    Year:2015

    The new Nintendo 3ds is a technical improvement of the 3DS. The New 3DS and the New 3DS XL got two new buttos; ZR and ZL, and a C-Stick, which can be used like the Circle-Pad Pro.

    Der *new* Nintendo 3DS XL

    Year:2015

    The new Nintendo 3ds XL is a bigger Version of the new Nintendo 3ds.
